Our Teachers
Lili Viola — Studio Owner & Master Instructor
Lili’s Pilates education began in 2002 with a comprehensive Stott Pilates certification. Dedicated to the roots of the method, she went on to train under 2nd-generation Authentic Pilates teacher and bestselling author Brooke Siler, earning her second certification in 2014 as a 3rd-generation Authentic Pilates teacher. That same year, she opened Toronto’s first Classical Pilates studio, fully outfitted with authentic Gratz apparatus.
Lili continues to refine her mastery of the system, completing a 9-month intensive program under 2nd-generation teacher Chris Robinson in 2019. She has also studied under the late 1st-generation teacher Jay Grimes, as well as renowned 2nd-generation teachers Peter Fiasca, Blossom Leilani-Crawford, Kathryn Ross-Nash, and Sean Gallagher. As an authorized educator of the Brooke Siler Pilates Teacher Training curriculum, Lili mentors and has certified numerous Pilates professionals across Canada.
Mark Viola
After a successful 25-year career in finance, in 2020 Mark traded the corporate world for the Pilates studio - and hasn’t looked back. Mark works with a diverse clientele, ranging from competitive amateur athletes to seniors and individuals facing physical challenges. He is dedicated to helping every client discover the joy and freedom of movement. Mark is available exclusively for solo private lessons.
Anessa
Anessa is a certified Classical Pilates instructor who completed her comprehensive training and certification at Equinox, graduating in 2024. She joined the Lili Viola Pilates team in January 2025. Anessa is deeply passionate about rehabilitation, helping clients manage pain and recover from injuries through a highly tailored, mindful Pilates practice. She is available for Solo, Duo, and Trio private lessons, and she regularly leads our small group classes.
Julia
Julia joined the Lili Viola Pilates team in October 2024 as an apprentice and graduated from the Equinox Classical Pilates training program in February 2025. Uniquely balancing careers as both a classical Pilates instructor and a software engineer, Julia brings an exceptionally analytical approach to her fitness instruction. Her keen attention to detail and empathetic mindset allow her to critically assess movement patterns and tailor challenges to meet each student's individual needs. She is dedicated to creating an intentional space where clients can deepen their mind-body connection. Julia leads our studio group classes.
Jordan
Jordan is a certified Classical Pilates instructor, yoga, and barre teacher. She joined the Lili Viola Pilates team in May 2026 after moving to Toronto from the East Coast, where she taught at both classical and contemporary studios. Jordan is passionate about helping clients build a deep mind-body connection, making every movement enjoyable through a focused, engaging practice. She is available for Solo, Duo, and Trio private lessons, and regularly leads small group classes.
