Our Teachers

Lili Viola

Lili was introduced to Pilates in 2002. She quickly fell in love with the method and decided to train and certify with Stott Pilates in Toronto. In 2013 Lili traveled to NY to train under 2nd generation teacher and best selling author Brooke Siler. She bridged her certification to the Classical Pilates method, and in 2014 she opened Toronto’s first Classical Pilates studio, fully outfitted with the original Gratz apparatus. Lili maintains her accreditation by continuing to study with the industry’s most renown teachers. In 2019 she completed a 9-month intensive with 2nd generation teacher Chris Robinson. She has attended workshops presented by 1st generation teacher Jay Grimes, 2nd generation teachers Peter Fiasca, Blossom Leilani-Crawford, Kathryn Ross-Nash, Sean Gallagher and others. Her passion for learning is matched only by her passion for sharing what she has learned. Lili has trained and certified many Pilates teachers in Toronto, indeed passing on the Pilates torch. She brings precision, discipline and enthusiasm to her clients' lessons.

Mark Viola

Mark's journey from "Finance to Fitness" was unforeseen even to him. After over 25 years of having a high-stress desk job in the world of finance, a pandemic changed the course of his life and career. Mark always knew he would one day transition from his corporate job to helping manage the family business (he is married to Lili Viola), but he never imagined he would end up coaching clients in Pilates. However, in March 2020, he embarked on teacher training, and has never looked back.

He has trained competitive amateur tennis and basketball players, cyclists, swimmers, runners, corporate desk jockeys, the elderly, and the physically challenged. He loves working with people and motivating them to find the joy in moving their bodies.

Anessa

Anessa fell in love with Pilates 6 years ago and has made it her mission to help others as a teacher ever since. She is passionate about guiding individuals through recovery and pain management.

As an athlete herself, Anessa draws on experience to foster strength and deep connections in her clients.

In addition to offering private lessons, she leads group classes and the Pilates Prep School.

Julia

As a classical Pilates instructor and a software engineer, Julia blends her passion for movement with an analytical approach when teaching Pilates.

In both her self-practice and sessions with clients, her attention to detail and empathic mindset allow her to assess movements critically and tailor challenges to meet each person’s individual needs. She strives to create a space where her clients can deepen their mind-body connection which she firmly believes enhances our lives outside of the studio.
